Alessio Battistella

(Este 1971) Architect Ph.D, his practice focuses on landscape integration, and systems of renewable energy production. He has been a researcher and lecturer at DIET (Department of Civil Engineering and Land) at the University ofPavia, and at the BEST (Department of Science and Technology of the Built Environment) of the Polytechnic of Milan. As well consultant RSE (Research System Energy) and member of Scientific Committee - Master Paesaggistraodinari – at NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts of Milan) / Polytechnic of Milan.

Diego Torriani

(Milan 1980) Engineer. Ph.D in 2009 in civil engineering-architecture in Pavia with a thesis titled "Potential Landscapes, reflections on the sustainability of the landscape ", issue which he explores in numerous publications. He works as a teacher, assistant and tutor in academic courses, seminars, and research centers, among them, at the IEA CdL of Pavia, Faculty of Architecture in Milan, IED Turin and the Institute for Construction Technologies of the CNR. Since 2008 he works as a designer for E Plus Studio at Pavia, where he became partner in 2010.

Alberto Alcalde

(Barcelona 1980) Architect. He graduated in 2007 by the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya. From 2002 on he has been working in several studios of Barcelona and Delft (Holland), on projects of housing, public building, urban planning and landscape. In 2009 he joins ARCò with whom he has coordinated on the ground the construction of three school buildings on the Palestinian Territories.

Carmine Chiarelli

(Bari 1979) Engineer and Architect, Ph.D. in 2010 in Civil Engineering – Architecture in Pavia, with a thesis titled "Language and matter in the contemporary landscape," which explores the relationship between material metamorphosis and architectural language’s construction. From 2006 to 2010 he carried out educational activities for the courses of Architecture and Architectural Design of CdL IEAUniversity of Pavia. Since 2007 he works as a freelancer, collaborating with several studios of architecture and engineering in Milan, Pavia and Taranto. From2010 he has been working at the research laboratory of the De Carlo Fixtures Spa, exploring the elimination of thermal bridges in laying joints.

Valerio Marazzi

(Milan 1979) Architect. In 2004 he graduated in architecture in Milan with a thesis titled "Structure built with recycled and recovered materials”, where he studied on alternative building techniques for sustainable architecture in developing countries. He has focused on the study of Feng Shui, permaculture and bioclimatic architecture, working and traveling around Europe, North of Africa and at Auroville Earth Institute in India. As a freelancer, he collaborates as a designer with studios of Milan, Florence, Warsaw and Porto Alegre.

Luca Trabattoni

(Lodi 1978) Architect. Ph.D. in 2010 n civil engineering-architecture in Pavia, with a research on issue of public spaces in residential projects and a thesis titled "The Uncertain Living". Since 2007 he is teaching courses of architectural composition at CdL IEA in Pavia and in 2009 became professor for architectural composition I. As a freelancer, he collaborates as a designer with several studios at Lodi, Milan and Pavia.

Vassilis Mpampatsikos

Vassilis Mpampatsikos is a structural engineer, PhD in earthquake engineering, based in Milan (Italy). He was born in Pavia (Italy) in 1980. He is working as freelancer engineer and contract professor at the Polytechnic of Milan, where he teaches structural mechanics and design at the Architecture faculty. His main activity is focused on the design of new construction, retrofitting of existing buildings and seismic risk reduction, particularly concerning reinforced concrete structures and heritage masonry buildings.

Manuela Ferrari

(Milano 1970)Sciologist, qualitative research director, facilitator. Her experiences and skills are used to cope different situations with the aim of deeply comprehending dynamics, highlighting common purposes and interests, identifying guidelines and tangible ways to lead transforming solutions. She recently worked for Regione Lombardia, Banca Etica, Politecnico di Milano, Comune di Modena e Regione Emilia Romagna, Comune di Bracciano e Regione Lazio.
